Our commitment
We want planning a stay at Casa La Familia to be easy for everyone. We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, and we are not there on every page yet. What we know is still outstanding is listed below, and we treat accessibility reports as bugs.
What we've built in
The site works with keyboard navigation and screen readers, provides descriptive alternative text for photography, honors your system’s reduced-motion preference (animations and the rotating galleries settle down automatically), and keeps text at readable contrast on every background. The full content of the site is available in English, Spanish, French, and German.
Where we fall short
Known gaps, kept current rather than aspirational. The language of the page is set to English in the HTML we serve and corrected to your chosen language once the page loads, which means it is briefly wrong for anyone reading in Spanish, French or German. Some decorative photography carries empty alternative text where a short description would serve better. The rotating guest reviews advance on a timer; they pause for reduced-motion settings but cannot yet be stepped through manually. The video behind the top of the home page plays on a loop with no control to stop it; it is skipped entirely if you have asked your device to reduce motion, but there is no way to pause it otherwise. The experiences grid reveals each card’s description on hover and focus, which is workable by keyboard but not ideal on a touch screen.
Feedback
If you hit anything that doesn’t work well with your assistive technology, please tell us — we treat accessibility reports as bugs and fix them.
